Effective Saturday 6 September 2014, the JKM wireless networks (JKM-2N, JKM-2S,  JKM-2C, and JKM-3E) will be password-protected to ensure greater security. Stop by the circulation desk on your way in and ask for the password.

Effective Tuesday 2 September 2014, we're changing the off-campus username that you use to access the digital resources to which JKM provides access. Your username will become your @lstc.edu, @mccormick.edu or @go.mccormick.edu email address; your password remains your i.d. number. If you experience problems accessing the databases after Tuesday, write us at infocommons@jkmlibrary.org, using your McCormick or LSTC email address.

Beginning this month, JKM users now enjoy access to EBSCO's Academic Search Complete, compliments of our membership in the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries of Illinois (CARLI) (the same folks who bring us I-Share). ASC is considered the largest academic database available with the most full-text journals and depth of coverage, with over 13,780 indexed and abstracted journals, 9,000 full-text journals (7,850 of them peer-reviewed).

WorldCat is now WorldCat Discovery, with a much more intuitive, user-friendly ( think Amazon.com) interface, through which you can search the holdings of thousands of libraries around the world and place interlibrary loans. Before placing an interlibrary loan request, however, please check the holdings of the I-Share libraries first through the catalog. If a requested item is held by an I-Share library, we'll notify you that you can place the request yourself through the catalog.
