How do I borrow books from other Illinois libraries?
To apply for borrowing privileges at another I-Share library:
Your JKM Library card is your borrower's card at all 90 I-Share libraries! A complete list of I-Share libraries is available here.
Fines/fees policies differ among I-Share libraries, and you are expected to abide by the policies of each library. Fines/fees owed to another I-Share library cannot be paid at JKM.
To visit or borrow books from Chicago Theological Union, Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary (Styberg Library), Loyola University, or the American Islamic College
- Before visiting the library, ensure that your ACTS borrower identification card is currently valid (cards are good through June 30th). If you need a new ACTS card, request one via ihaveaquestion@jkmlibrary.org. You may also wish to contact the other library's circulation desk before visiting, as — depending upon staffing — borrowing privileges may not be granted on evenings and weekends.
- Upon visiting the library, present your ACTS card and your LSTC or McCormick i.d. to the circulation desk, and fill out an application for borrowing privileges.
